Over the weekend, Nominated Mp Hon Godfrey Osotsi appealed to the govt to procure enough doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and carry out a well-organized and coordinated vaccination program. The MP wondered why the govt had procured a mere 1M doses to cater for over 40M Kenyans. He advised the govt to focus on vaccination and stop subjecting Kenyans to future lockdowns which have serious consequences to the economy.

Even as the government put into place interventions measures like lock downs, it should also ensure that it has a well coordinated program where the masses shall be vaccinated which is one of the best ways to curtail the spread of the deadly corona virus disease”
said the Mp.
The MP also warned against uncontrolled public debt that has continued to hurt Kenyans. He said that he will reject the plan to increase the debt ceiling from 9T to 12T since the govt hasn’t accounted for the recent increase of debt ceiling to 9T.
We all know that we are currently in the handshake error but the high trends by the Uhuru administration to borrow much is negatively affecting our people. When treasury approached the National assembly, we al agreed to increase the debt ceiling so that the government could borrow and pay off the high-interest loans which was of many benefits to Kenyans. The current high corruption rates do not augur well with the common mwananchi who shoulders the burden of debt repayments. When the national assembly resumes, I will lead Mps in rejecting further borrowing by the government” said the mp.
The MP made these remarks while addressing residents of Gamalenga Village, Tambua ward, Hamisi constituency. The Mp who is currently serving his first term in parliament has fixed his eyes on representing Vihiga county as its second senator in 20220.
