There is no honor in defeat, Gadaa and Isukuti beats will only make sense when we win-Dennis Isikuri SG aspirant AFC Leopards

Election fever has gripped AFC Leopards. The oldest club in Kenya EST 1964 is scheduled to hold its general election late in June.All the three seats will fall vacant thanks to the club constitution that allows for a two terms tenure of office.Dr Shikanda the outgoing chairman will not be contesting and so is the club treasurer Oliver Napali who have both serves their two terms.The position of club SG is so far the most competitive of the three. So far it has attracted 7 aspirants. The pool of which blends gender, agility, experience and youthfulness.

Of the seven who have shown interest, Dennis Njeka Esikuri beams youthfulness, agility and fleet footedness thanks to his young age.Esikuri does not shy away from standing tall and going head to head with the seasoned aspirants whom he expects to floor at the ballot and become the club SG.”

I come from a school of thought that respects age but achievements and ability should also be given a special place." Esikuri.

When he announced his candidature,many people thought that it was a n April day prank. They were wrong. Esikuri has been cross crossing the city selling his manifesto to AFC leopards members.His candidacy has spread far and wide just like a bushfire in the harmattan.

The Technical University of Nairobi Research graduate, historian and human rights crusader believes he has what it takes to help turn around the club.

“I strongly believe that we need a new paradigm shift in how we transact club businesses. We have gone 27 years without winning the title. Gadaa and Isukuti beats nolonger make sense. How do you dance to Gadaa and Isukuti after soaking in goals from Talanta or Shabana? Why is NEC always wrangling? Why is there no fans inclusion and communication breakdown?This must stop”
