All systems go as Vihiga county is set to hold the first-ever trade expo under the Kidake foundation.

The Kidake foundation under the stewardship of Alex Kidake has planned for the first-ever Vihiga trade expo at the Kidundu stadium.

Speaking to www.goodmorningkenya.com, Mr. Kidake was upbeat that the forthcoming trade extravaganza was a game-changer in the way business was being transacted in the vast county of Vihiga.

The trade fair extravaganza is aimed at bridging the gap between the manufacturers and consumers across the world as it opens up the Vihiga country as a business hub.

‘’ Vihiga county is well endowed with much. We need to put in place deliberate efforts to help our people in Vihiga realize the great potential that this county provides. Through our foundation, we have invited several exhibitionists from across the world to come and showcase what the world is offering as they also get to sample what Vihiga is offering to the world. This too will open up Vihiga as a tourist destination which will in the long run earn our county revenue besides creating jobs for locals. An excursion on Maragoli hills and a glimpse of the smiling stones of Bunyore will serve as a tourist attraction moving forward and these gains will be realized through our trade expo next month’’ Kidake said.

So far over 204 exhibitionists have confirmed participating with KRA too promising to grace the occasion.

With the advancement of technology and the covid 19 scare, many more others have promised to participate via zoom while others will send their videos to help spice up the event by making it as interactive as possible.

‘’ This is not a political event and we have liaised with all local leaders in Vihiga to grace the occasion and help us reap maximum benefits from it. We are glad that our first governor Hon Akaranga will attend and also our leader Hon Mudavadi has promised to be part of this great event. We have also extended our invitation to the county government which is led by Hon Otichilo to grace and we look forward to having some good times together’’ added Mr. Kidake.
