We shall streamline “Kanjo’ operations ~ CS Patrick Analo.

The Nairobi county Secretary Mr Patrick Analo has said that the city county will embark on ensuring that all county staff exhibit a high discipline while discharging their duties to wananchi.

Mr Analo was speaking following a video that has since gone viral where a city motorist locked a city askari in her car and drove off.

The lady accused the officer of illegally getting into her vehicle. Thus, she decided to lock the car and sped off along Valley Road, and onto the Nairobi Express Way before heading to Ngong town.

In the video, the lady is heard throwing insults at a rather repentant kanjo guy who while trying to execute his duties jumped into the car to enforce ‘the law”.

“The law requires that when one makes an  offence, they are supposed to stop and be informed of the offence they have committed and escorted to the nearby police station or county offices,” Analo said.

“According to the County Management Act, the requirements of controlling private and public transport are clearly outlined, that is why we have traffic marshals,” ~Analo.

At the same time, Analo said disciplinary action will be taken against the officer for overstepping his mandate.

We shall reign in on wayward county officers~Analo.

“The officer was quite overzealous which ought not  to have been the case. The ideal way is to get consent from the motorist before entering the car,” explained Analo.

The county secretary also cautioned wananchi on what her termed as attempted abduction of the staff and general mistreatment.

“Similarly, it is wrong for a motorist to lock the officer inside a car and drive off just like in the video. It could end up being an abduction case,” Analo added.

“The lady ought to have driven to the nearby police station or county offices for the matter to be solved instead of speeding off and saying she will spend the whole weekend with the officer. From the clip we can all see the psychological trauma the officer underwent” contunued Analo.

The county is well prepared for the long rains.

Mr Analo has further told city residents that the  county government is well prepared for tbe long rains.

Under the sound leadership of Governor Sakaja, we have employed a muti-agencies  approach which will arrest any runway  situation emanating from the long rains. We shall work closely with the national government to ensure lives and properties are safeguarded as Nairobians go about their daily duties.” Analo

Land grabbers put on notice.
On the issues of people encroaching on public land in the city county, Mr Analo reiterated go ernor Sakaja’s stand on zero tolerance on land grabbing.

“His Excellency Governor Sakaja has made it clear that no public land shall be grabbed. I want to reiterate that position by inviting Nairobians to volunteer informatio  on any suspicious activity on public land. The county government  has so far repossessed land that had landed into private hands.” Analo concluded
