The truth behind Trucha and Duncan Otieno….

Via Dennis Kwoba, Nakuru Kenya.
Bill Shankly one of the greatest Liverpool managers once said,
“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager, and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques ”
Well, the same can be said of the most loved and most supported club in East and Central Africa. This club is AFC Leopards aka Ingwe.
Children who were born on the night AFC leopards lifted the title are now young mothers and or fathers. It is about time that AFC leopards current crop of players, NEC, and the faithful legion of supporters started having a meeting with themselves and plot on how beer and Isukuti shall freely flow as Ingwe clinches the 2020/2021 Kpl trophy.
The lean team of three has no option but to deliver on their election manifestos.
The First Triumvirate (of Dr. Dan Shikanda President, Olyver Sikuku SG, and Morris Chichi treasurer) should undertake their core functions with the utmost zeal that is expected of them. They must do this in full realization that serving on the leopard’s board is a lifetime honor that should be lived with humility and total service to the Chingwe legion of followers around the world both the living and the dead. The spirit of founders like Israel Motoka (r.i.p) and legends like Joe Kadenge(rip) can only rest easy when all is well in the den.
No room for error in 2020/2021 as we march to the title glory..
The exit of the club’s coach Mr. Trucha and the ‘disappearance of ‘ Duncan Otieno has kept the fans talking.
Trucha has added his name on the list of coaches that has made our rivals rub it on us by reminding us that the acronym AFC means Always Firing Coaches. Never mind Gor had a tourist who did not have a pro license and word on the street has it that he didn’t even have a valid passport ( anyway that is none of our business)
The Truth behind Trucha and Duncan Otieno….
Trucha was the right man for the job at the den but ghosts hounded him out of office. According to a source that could not be named for he is not authorized to speak on behalf of the gaffer and I quote him…
‘’Trucha was hired openly in a competitive process and even when he landed, he was excited to take over the job and bring back smiles on the faces of ingwe fans. Straight from the airport, Trucha went to Kisii and although he was not on the touchline when we lost to Shabana fc, it was evident that he was ready for the hot seat. He then went direct to Iten and took the lads through the ropes and by the time he arrived back in the city, he was raring to go. Beating Tusker and drawing with KCB some of our bogey teams was a clear manifestation of how ready and willing Trucha was. He also enjoyed a cordial relationship with both the technical bench and his employers NEC’’ divulged my source.
‘’Trucha never signed because of money, he was happy to be part of the soccer activity in the den and help grow the beautiful game of soccer in this part of the world’’ an official said.
Trucha’s problem in the den started on the first day of the league. As AFC leopards was preparing to face Tusker, part of his team that he had prepared to face Tusker fell sick and could not play. With high temperatures, the ministry insisted on taking further tests on them and this only meant that we were to have what Trucha had called his first eleven missings. The coach was upset and very impatient forcing the team to rearrange its team sheet something that Trucha called ‘’ very unprofessional according to standards and soccer practices.
Further from the lies being thrown up and about that Trucha has been signed by Penang FC of Malaysia, the coach is still in Nairobi job hunting. Could he be heading to Gor MAHIA? Time will tell.
Duncan Otieno’s exit infuriated the coach very much….
Duncan Otieno a returnee from Nkana FC in Zambia was among Ingwe’s prized assets. His return was greeted by ululations by all and sundry. No sooner had the frenzy surrounding his arrival subsidized than we heard that Lusaka dynamos another Zambian outfit was unveiling him.

Duncan’s case brings to the fore the unprofessional way that African soccer regimes handle the transfer of players. The least that the Shikanda led administration ought to have done was at least speak about it once it had happened and or conduct due diligence on the player’s transfer protocol before rushing to ejaculate on raw emotions at the den. As much as the fans are right in wanting answers from the NEC, I will upset them even more by telling them that Sikuku’s hands were incapacitated and the only thing he could do was to lodge an official complaint to FIFA at the expense of incurring litigation costs ( and the club has no money) and or cutting short Dunco’s soccer expedition in Zambia albeit temporarily until the matter is dispensed. Whichever way you look at it, Afc was now gaining anything but lessons learned.
‘’ The coach had wanted to build his team around the experienced Otieno but the lad failed him and his uneventful exit left several loopholes on the professional standards in Kenya something that may have contributed immensely on the coaches’ exit’ an insider revealed. Nkana had not submitted the transfer protocols befitting an international transfer, whether it was by design or a normal error of omission we don’t know but Dunco was not fully owned by AFC by the time he was unveiled’’ added our source.
The oneness of the holy trinity will bring positive results.
Dear leopards fans, allow me to again draw your attention to Bill Shankly.
“Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.” Bill Shankly.
The fans must play their rightful position in defending the leopard against any marauding attacks by the likes of the foul-mouthed Bill Arocho of Radio Jambo.
In no uncertain terms, Arocho must be reminded that his task is limited to singing praises to Gor Mahia as the fool people that he is a KCB fan.

The amount of vitriol spewed by one Bill Arocho is fatally hot that can melt all the waters in Lake Victoria leaving all the fish and Omenas dead.
Who appointed Arocho the moral cop at the den? Is he not satisfied as a consultant at Radio Jambo’s patanisho show? If he is not then he should be given a starring role as the chair lady of all salon mamas of Kilimani area.
It beats logic how one man can make it his business to incite, spread hate, and malicious rumors all in the name of Twiga nonsense.
Ingwe fans must stand firm and very strong in the knowledge that Arocho is an agent of doom and as a club, our trophy drought is what makes him happy and we should not give him the prestige of getting even with us.
A true leopard fan should at all cost stand firm in defense of his team. Being a leopard is not a matter of life and death, it is much more than that.
Leopards fans should not take pride in bashing its leadership online and on the radio rather they should find avenues of sorting the issues off-camera. Why do we have Annual General Meetings? Is the purpose not for self-evaluations and having a conversation on how to take ingwe forward? Who can wash his parent’s dirty linen in the public? Nobody and therefore matters Leopard should be handled with utmost respect befitting the oldest club of the nation.
Those throwing barbs at unnamed soccer officials should desist and seek an amicable avenue of helping find a solution. After all, nobody is perfect and expecting the trio at the helm to be perfect is like looking for the shortest route to Siberia as you ride a duck.
Afc will win the league this season…
Yes AFC leopards will win the league this season but the players, Nec, and fans must speak with one voice…Obulala na amani. Oursforever
