Chepkoech Kigen, the disabled woman who a Chief poured illicit liquor on her, cries for justice

Chepkoech Kigen, a disabled woman from Kipkabius location in Uasin Gishu County, narrated her sad ordeal at the hands of a rogue village chief identified as Jeremiah Muge Chemwalo who beat her up before pouring illicit liquor on her on Thursday, 9th April, 2020.

The ;disabled mother of two is one of the two women who suffered by reason of the local area administrative official within Uasin Gishu county with their photos inviting an uproar from Kenyans who expressed concern on how they were handled.

The woman who sells outlawed brew commonly referred to as ;Busaa says that they found her in her compound while conducting a search for outlawed alcohol, and that’s when the unfortunate event happened.

The woman mentioned that she suffered injuries from the beatings she received.

She then sought ;medical attention, and added that she wants action to be taken against the chief and his fellow security officials who were involved in the raid.

The hurt woman said:

”This is the only business I engage in as it helps me take care of my children. If I had an alternative I would ;not be doing it”

”I ask the government to come and assist me.”
