A show down looms as PDP party led by Omingo Magara and Udp allied to teh deputy president William Ruto settle on the wife of former Mp in the forthcoming by election.
United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have agreed to support the candidature of Mrs Teresa Bitutu Oroo, wife of the late Bonchari MP Hon Oroo Oyioka on a UDA ticket.
According to astatement posted on UDA’S social media handle, the party has settled on the late Mps wife to fly the flag in what many people see as a move to increase their chances of clinching the seat going by the tradition in Kenya where a deceased’s wife comes with sympathy votes.
Hon Oyioka, a retired teacher and education official, was a second-term MP elected on a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket which is led by Omingo Magara but has since crafted a working formula to work with UDA and push for the election of William Ruto in 2022.
