“We can make AFC leopards great again, we don’t need rocket science to turn our club around. We must take deliberate steps towards the change that we yearn for, as your next SG Iam ready and willing to play my part in bringing about that change” Situma Robert.

Robert Situma while speaking to Kawangware branch members  Situma enumerated a four point agenda which he intends to implement in his quest i  turning around the club.

The points are….
1)Management pillar: As club SG Situma is promising to help provide a conducive atmosphere  for the staff at the club to ensure they deliver.

Our club is crying for transparency in its dealings, as your SG I will ensure timely communication of club matters and Iam upto the task, I have been around for some time and I know what is ailing our club, niko na suluhu” Situma told Kawangware branch.

Player recruitment regime must be relooked at.-Situma.

Mr Situma decried the lack of sound players and coaches recruitment regime

Under my leadership, I will give sound direction on how players and coaches are hired. It serves no purpose giving a player a 2year contract, the player is not even among our first eleven then release him 6 month into the contract. The dropped player is agrieved then goes to FIfa which has now led our club into the current Fifa sanctions. This must change! We must sign foreign players who have exceptional talent that we cannot get locally. We must go back to our roots and scout for talent across our country as opposed to signing foreigners who have become a big liability to the club. Our club history of producing exceptional players must be upheld” said Sutuma.

2. Commercial pillar-Under this, Sutuma is envisioning an open door policy in which tenders and procurements are done above board.
” Under my tenure we shall explore all avenues which will bring income to the club.We shall liberalise the club merchandise and ensure we reap maximum returns to our club” added Situma.

3. Communal Pillar: Under communal pillar Situma is promising a vibrant member recruitment drive in line with the founders dream of uniting the club. CSR’s aimed at incalcating the clubs rich history will be among the things Situma is promising

“Growing up, we were looking upto Kadenge, Mulamba etc etc. We must return back to our roots where our club was the most loved and admired in East and Central Africa” Situma.

4. Youth/soccer academy development.
While speaking in Kawangware, Situma promised an elaborate youth team development policy which will act as feeder team to the senior team.

AFC should be playing in the ranks of TP Mazembe, Al Ahhly, Raja Cassablanca, Asec Mimosa among other African soccer giants. To achieve this  we must have our own breeding ground which shall enable us produce many other Shijenjes and sell them to Europe. As yoyr SG I dont want a scenario where AFC is selling players locally, our league should be in Europe.

As days tick by Situma has intensified his vote hunting mission across the nation.

“Iam tried and tested, Iam battle hardened,  I have seen the lows and highs in AFC leopards  Iam requesting Ingwe faithfuls to trust me with the honor of serving you as the next Ingwe SG.
