Unless Baba washes & sanitizes the mind, no presidency for him.

The reasons why former prime minister will always be a complainer and not a winner is the same reason he is not a general in charge of his army. As a general over the years he has always failed in planning and strategy lessons.
He has acted in populism politics over strategy and logistics.

He has walked along the Kenya political terrain as a popular politician no doubt but at the critical moment, at the hour of slaying the enemy and declare victory, he has failed like a ripe mango not far from the tree.

Look at these cases, he worked with Moi and at the eleventh hour he failed to become President!  He later in 2002 joined Kibaki,  together they formed government, the ghosts of poor planning conspired and forced him to ran from the same government, he went out there wedged wolf cries  and in 2008, he returned to government as a prime minister through grand coalition after a disputed election.

While in government, if he was a strategist, he would have taken advantage of the proximity to power to organise himself to win the 2013 election form government and become president. The Son from Bondo Sakwa now the former prime minister,  spend his time in government complaining, demanding  minor issues like red carpet and forgot about the ultimate prize.

Towards the end of Kibaki administration, the ODM leader was so popular in streets but exhausted in strategy and power tacctic, at that time he was too powerful for himself to an extent, he didn’t care about his alliances with other leaders like Hon. Mudavadi,  Hon. Ruto,  Najib balala or Ngilu.

The former prime minister was certain that he is going to be President and he was assured so because of the cloud of ICC that was hanging on President Uhuru and Ruto. To Uhuru and Ruto, ICC case was a funeral, unfortunately the former prime minister never turned up to berieved families nor grieved with them. He has busy in his own world.

The ICC funeral confused him that much to the extent that he chose to make Hon. Mudavadi his target and by 2012 he had opened his weapons of campaign in the name of ODM reloaded led by Ababu Namwamba and directed to Mudavadi. He spend so much power and energy  decampaigning Hon. Mudavadi forgetting that Uhuru through ICC funeral was galvanising the country, his base and capitalising on his mistakes.

At that time, he enjoyed a lot of pollsters false predictions. Every pollster that was polled during that time gave him a sure lead against all other candidates. Mr. Odinga’s campaign relied heavily on cooked pollsters who successfully painted him as the only horse to beat. With that bubble, Mr. Odinga called others donkeys!

The pollsters made him live in a ” make believe bubble rooftop” a dystopia kind like heaven and gave him false assumption that he was ultimately going to succeed president Kibaki. That was a presidency created in pollsters mind and gave the former premier a false impression, but kwa ground vitu, zilikuwa different, the Kenyan saying captures the imagination so well. The paid up like- pollsters lacked credibility, science and they awkwardly twisted national statistics to fit the bill.

Someone would hate to imagine that some of these pollsters were not his partial supporters so they were blind and they blinded him and actually fooled his supporters. Their numbers were based on fiction and actually lack of international protocols. By any standard,  they can’t be relied on by any serious presidential contender. Unfortunately the former prime minister did.

The presidential chance of 2013 having gone by the wind, the former prime minister embarked on another mission in 2017.  One, he left the country mysteriously and went into the US after the defeat.  Rumours were flying in that he is up to something big, but on his grandstanding return, the shocking only thing that happened, was ” Baba while you were away” This harsh tag,  ended with a rally at Uhuru park, a big crowd that was disappointed, who returned home dejected because Baba had said nothing on his overwhelming advertised return.

The cats and chicken went home and the lonely night set in, they returned without anything after spending many hours singing tunes waiting for the master’s return. Then after that, the build up to 2017 soaked in with a Uhuru Baba duel. First round election and supreme court cancelled a presidential election for the first time in the country and ordering a repeat, and shockingly the former prime minister, out of nowhere, boycotted it giving Uhuru another term without election.  A billion worthy mistake.

This was a serious mistake.  A poor exit, a poor plan. Reasons are not known.  But what followed, there after,  Uhuru was sworn in and boooooooom,  March 9th the Handshake!  Another mistake. No one can explain the meaning, purpose and strategy behind it. Then from Handshake to BBI another mistake.

The agenda of BBI, its source and ultimate conclusion remains a mystery. No sooner had BBI reached the apex, Covid-19 arrived unceremoniously forcing everyone into his own house. But the way former prime minister is calculating through the pandemic, it’s obvious, unless baba washes the mind and sanitizes it no presidency for him.
