The Sg gave 75000ksh while Cotu affiliates gave 25000ksh.

Brother Andabwa himself a staunch Afc leopards supporter had mobilised fellow trade unionists in trying to pull resources together in aid of Afc leopards.

Speaking during the brief hand over ceremony at KNPSWU offices at Hurlingham,  Mr Andabwa flanked by former Ingwe chairman Wafula Wamusamia and a comrade in the trade union said that their resolve to help the team was informed by the teams good results of late.

Afc leopards receive 100, 000ksh from Cotu Affiliates.

The team/Cotu affiliates that comprises of Mr Nedau of KETAU, Mr Ben Kavuvi of KUSFCO,  Wafula Wamusamia of Mines, Mr Maina of Leather and shoe. The team is drawn of trade unions that are all affiliated to Cotu but support Afc leopards individually as fans.

“We want to appeal to our sister the CS for sports Hon Amina Mohammed to ensure sports and sportsmen are catered for well during both their playing time and even in retirement. It pains to see our sportsmen and women who have brought glory and honor to this nation languish in poverty after having had a glittering career” he said.

Nyayo Stadium and Kasarani should be opened for soccer players.

Mr Andabwa further wondered why both Nyayo and Kasarani are out of bound for Afc and Gor Mahia fc.

It beats logic to see politicians being granted access to use Nyayo stadium and Kasarani while Afc and Gor play in some funny fields across Nairobi. These facilities were constructed by the late president Moi for soccer and when we talk of soccer in Kenya,  we mean Afc and Gor”

Afc leopards to claw Gor on Sunday.
While speaking at the brief ceremony, former Afc chairman and now a trade unionist Mr Wafula Wamusamia
predicted that Afc will emerge on top on Sunday.

“Our team under Dr Shikanda is having a good run and we believe on Sunday we shall beat Gor and represent the country in the confederation cup next year. We however want to urge the government to pump lots of money in sports as a way of helping our young people not to be idle hence turning to drugs ans other anti social habits”.said Mr Wafula.

Afc has prepared well and is ready for Gor” Dan Shikanda.

While aknowledging the kind donations from Cotu affiliates/supporters,  Afc leopards Dr Dan Shikanda thanked Andabwa and his team for their timely kind gesture and promised to always endevour to lead the team to victory.

“Concerning the forthcoming shield cup finals,  the team is in good shape and we expect nothing short of a win against our arch-rivals Gor. Past results and our performance against Kariobangi should not worry our fans, . We would have hoped that the game was played in an open atmosphere but Covid 19 restrictions wont allow,  however I urge our fans to keep the faith and support the team”.

Dr Shikanda.

On the unavailability of Kasarani and Nyayo Dr Shikanda said that his team has lost three players as a reault of playing on bad surfaces.
