ODM should issue Hon Tim Wanyonyi with a ticket just like it is doing in Luo Nyanza-Aladwa.

Pressure is mounting on the ODM party to immediately give its Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Tim Wanyonyi his nomination ticket.
The Westlands MP is the only candidate seeking the party’s nod for the coveted City Hall position yet he is yet to receive his ticket.
Earlier, the party had assured the second-time MP that he would be given the ticket but this is yet to happen.

This has now forced the vocal Makadara MP George Aladwa to wade into the debate and demanded that the party should immediately release the ticket so that Mr Wanyonyi starts to plan on how to win the governor’s seat in the August elections.
“I urge the ODM National Election Board to issue Tim Wanyonyi the Nairobi ODM gubernatorial ticket as has been the precedent in Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, Mombasa and Kakamega. He is the sole and most promising candidate,” Aladwa said.
Aladwa was speaking on Monday, April 18 evening when he accompanied Mr Wanyonyi to distribute food to 300 Muslim families to celebrate Iftar.
Mr Wanyonyi is set to face off with Kenya Kwanza’s Johnson Sakaja who has already been declared as the DP William Ruto-led coalitions’ candidate.
He will also face off with businessman Richard Ngatia (Jubilee) who has settled on Prof Philip Kaloki of Jubilee for the seat.
The Jubilee party is yet to decide on who will be its candidate.
The ruling party has incumbent governor Anne Kananu, businesswoman Agnes Kagure and Ngatia to choose from.
