Ghost had in his bag of surprises several players that he unleashed to the world at the national stage. The absence of Ayub TIMBE of Vissell Kobe in Japan was not badly missed with Anthony Akumu manning the midfield making veteran Victor Wanyama’s absence of zero consequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

it is about time Ghost Mulee looked yonder for one Bruce Kamau who is currently riding high in Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Kenya, Kamau moved to Australia when he was 4-years-old and began his footballing career as a junior at N.AB before joining Campbelltown City in South Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamau had stints at both Adelaide City as well as Adelaide Olympic before signing for Hyundai A-League outfit Adelaide United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pacey winger made his debut for Adelaide in the 2014 FFA Cup against Wellington Phoenix and scored his first Hyundai A-league goal in Round 20 of the 2015\/16 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, Kamau left Adelaide to join Melbourne City for two seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year later, he was named in the Australian U23s team for the AFC U23s Championship qualifier and main tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamau joined the Red & Black in May 2018 and made his debut in the FFA Cup Round of 32 against Hellenic AC..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariners captain Oliver Bozanic slotted home a penalty with seven minutes remaining to earn the visitors a point in a contest they largely dominated.The draw takes last season’s wooden-spooners three points clear at the top, though having played two matches more than second-placed Melbourne City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a Matt Simon goal in the first half, the impressive Mariners created enough chances to be well out of sight before substitute Bruce Kamau bagged two goals within four second-half minutes against the run of play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gosford-local Simon looked set to be the hero, netting midway through the first half until Kamau finally drew the home side level with 16 minutes remaining. The Mariners, who named an unchanged side from the one that saw off Adelaide United 2-1 last Thursday, played with confidence from the outset and enjoyed an outstanding opening half in western Sydney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simon continued his late career form with a deft chip over goalkeeper Daniel Margush on 22 minutes, after Marco Urena set up the opening with a driving run from deep. It could have been worse for the Wanderers minutes later but Margush made a superb close-range block from Daniel Bouman, who seemed likely to score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wanderers lifted after the break as they soon have done on several occasions this season, but the home side struggled to make the most of a couple of half-chances, notably striker Mitch Duke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then the Mariners laid siege to the Wanderers goal and host defender Tom Aquilina somehow made a goalline block to deny Jack Clisby to keep the home side in the contest midway through the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
