The entire nation is now transfixed on the senate committee lead by Kakamega senator Hon Cleophas Malala to give a fair and just verdict on the embattled Kirinyaga governor Hon Anne Waiguru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senator Malala has a harculean task of ensuring that justice is done and be seen to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, Kirinyaga county residents were left in shock after waking up to leaflets calling for the ouster of embattled governor Anne Waiguru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaflets with the message \u201cWaiguru Must Go\u201d were widely circulated on Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were dropped at Ngurubani, Makutano, Kagio,Kerugoya ,Kagumo,Kibingoti,Kibirigwi, Thiba, Wamumu among other areas in the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parts of the anti-Waiguru leaflets were written in Kikuyu and called on residents to take parts in demonstrations against the county boss on Monday, June 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know who is the author but we suspect it is propaganda on Waiguru impeachment, \u201d one of the residents said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday the governor submitted boxes full of documents as evidence i defence of her proposed ouster by the Kirinyaga County Assembly. A move that Kamlesh Patni once employe in his Goldenberg case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Malala led committee had given her until Saturday to file responses and also specify her mode appearance \u2013 in person, by an advocate or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waiguru is accused of embezzling Ksh10.6 million for nonexistent travels and spending Ksh5 million on an official vehicle with funds intended for the Contractors\u2019 Retention Account among other accusations<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala is the chair of the 11-member committee set to go through the documents before making a final ruling on her impeachment.\u00ef<\/p>\n\n\n\n
