UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds have named their newborn baby boy Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, it was announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The baby was born Wednesday, and was given the middle name Nicholas in honor of two doctors who treated Boris Johnson while he suffered from coronavirus last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWilfred \u2026.after Boris\u2019 grandfather, Lawrie\u2026.. after my grandfather, Nicholas after Dr Nick Price and Dr Nick Hart \u2013 the two doctors that saved Boris\u2019 life last month,\u201d Carrie Symonds said on her Instagram account Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you so, so much to the incredible NHS maternity team at UCLH that looked after us so well. I couldn\u2019t be happier. My heart is full,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnson returned to work on Monday, after becoming the first world leader to fall ill with coronavirus in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UK Prime Minister spent three nights in intensive care in early April, before his condition improved
\nand was discharged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have today left hospital after a week in which the NHS has saved my life, no question,\u201d Johnson said in the video. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to find the words to express my debt.\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PM\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, Carrie Symonds, took to her social media and thanked the medical team. In a series of tweets, Symonds thanked the NHS staff:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
