New Pope Ochieng\u2019 clashes with his rival Raphael Adika. Ochieng\u2019 took over leadership after death of Ong\u2019ombe<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It must be noted that the late Pope Ramanus Ong’ombe had a long standing rivalry untill 2018 when they temprarily buried the hatchet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rivalry between Pope Ochieng and Adika if not tamed will split the church further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In August last year, a High Court sitting in Migori declared Adika the duly elected pope while Ongombe was to be patriarch.
Church religious sites, like Got Kwer, were ordered to be accessible to both sides. Ahead of the court ruling, Adika and Ongombe had tried to bury their differences that had gone on for more than 10 years, but they soon fell out
