Ruth Anyango Ogonda, the Kenyan administrative attach\u00e9 in Los Angeles, U.S, has passed on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A statement from the Foreign Affairs Ministry said she died on Friday after a short illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMs. Ogonda was suddenly taken ill at her residence on the morning of April 10, 2020 following which, Consulate staff called in paramedics who rushed her to Olympia Medical Centre, Los Angeles where she was admitted,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the ministry, the hospital has scheduled an autopsy this week to establish the actual cause of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Ministry is in close contact with the next of kin, as well as Consulate staff in Los Angeles, in order to better manage all the operational details, as well as to cushion the immediate family of the deceased officer, currently residing in Los Angeles,\u201d the statement adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Ogonda was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015 and later posted to Los Angeles in July 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
