While national attention on February 21 was firmly fixed on Siaya and Kakamega where the Linda Ground and Linda Mwananchi brigades held parallel political shows, a calculated and quietly strategic meeting was taking shape in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At Lavington Primary School in Dagoretti North, ODM and UDA delegates convened in what insiders describe as an early consolidation of forces ahead of the 2027 General Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At the centre of that convergence was Robert Alai, the outspoken Member of County Assembly for Kileleshwa Ward, increasingly viewed by his allies as the general of the Tutam (two term )movement within the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


A Strategic Show of Unity<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The meeting brought together nearly the entire Dagoretti North MCA leadership.
Present were:
Robert Alai of Kileleshwa Ward
Hon Njogu of Kawangware Ward
Hon Munga of Kabiro Ward
Hon Swaka of Gatina Ward
The only absentee among the five elected MCAs was Kilimani Ward MCA Hon Ogeto, who has publicly identified with the Sifuna led Linda Mwananchi formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also gracing the meeting were nominated Senator Karen Nyamu and Lang\u2019ata MP Felix Jalang’o, who has already declared interest in the Nairobi Senate seat.
The agenda was clear: strengthening ODM UDA cooperation at the grassroots as political formations reposition themselves around President William Ruto\u2019s second term bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Alai\u2019s Stewardship and Political Positioning<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Observers note that while others were engaging in high octane rallies elsewhere, Alai opted for what appears to be structured political groundwork.
Taking to the podium with his trademark candour, he framed the meeting as a step toward practical unity and development driven politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe way to bring development to our people is to rally behind President Ruto. We should be brave enough and help unite our nation under President Ruto. By convening here today, we have gone a step ahead in showing our respective party leaders that we are already working together for the good of our Dagoretti North community, Nairobi and our nation at large<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d Alai said<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


For a politician known for his forthright style whether addressing ODM internal affairs, critiquing county administration, or expressing support for President Ruto Alai appears to be recalibrating from solo commentary to coalition stewardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


His ability to convene leaders across party lines positions him as a key mobiliser for the Tutam brigade within Dagoretti North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unified Backing for Elachi\u2019s Second Term<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also sent a strong signal on local electoral dynamics.
All speakers who took the microphone declared support for Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi\u2019s second term bid.
Hon Swaka ignited chants from the gathering when he declared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMama Dago has done well as MP. We shall be traversing the constituency in seeking her re election.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Hon Swaka.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


The crowd responded with loud chants of \u201cTutam Tutam\u201d reinforcing the message of continuity.
Hon Munga and Hon Njogu echoed similar sentiments, describing the MP as a workaholic whose tenure has reshaped the constituency\u2019s development landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As political realignments begin to crystallise, Dagoretti North is emerging as a potential testing ground for ODM UDA cooperation.
With four of the five elected MCAs aligning behind the unity push and only Kilimani Ward charting a different course under the Linda Mwananchi banner, the constituency reflects the broader national political contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


For now, however, the momentum within Dagoretti North appears firmly anchored around structured cooperation, continuity, and the two term narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


And at the centre of that architecture stands Robert Alai confident, articulate, and positioning himself as the steward of Dagoretti North\u2019s alignment with President Ruto as the 2027 contest gradually comes into focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
