Giving back is not an option for me \u2014 it is a responsibility,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Maingi shared that he had initially planned to visit a children\u2019s home in Nakuru County, but changed course after Binyenya, his close friend, insisted that they spend Christmas with the children of Kawangware Initiative Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Oscar Binyenya<\/strong>, the visit was not just charity \u2014 it was personal. Born and raised in the same community, Oscar has built a reputation as a <strong>living example of a hood champion<\/strong>, dedicating years to pulling young men out of drug dens, mediating gang rivalries, and helping transform lives that society had written off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His presence alone was a reminder that greatness can grow from the narrow streets of Kawangware \u2014 and return home to uplift others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The home\u2019s founder and director, <strong>Ms. Jane \u201cShosho Jane\u201d Khati<\/strong>, could not hide her joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have faced very dark moments, but we never gave up. Today\u2019s support has restored our hope,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In a powerful gesture of long-term empowerment, Maingi and Binyenya promised <strong>employment opportunities to three youths<\/strong> who grew up at the home, completed college, but have remained locked out of the job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their message to them was simple but profound:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNever forget where you came from. When you succeed, extend a hand to the ones coming after you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The day also revealed a hidden gem \u2014 a young boy with a remarkable voice.
