With Raila Odinga no longer the gravitational force controlling Nairobi\u2019s political chessboard, Kikuyu voters are freer than ever to swing based on performance, alliances, or sheer community interests. His appeal among younger voters \u2014 especially first-time voters \u2014 is something Dagoretti North hasn\u2019t seen in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Right beside him is Bright Shitemi<\/strong>, equally young, bold, and impressively networked. His political rise has been quiet but sharp, and he represents the kind of modern, well-connected challenger who can easily upset an established seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both Nyongesa and Shitemi are Luhyas \u2014 and both pose a serious threat to Elachi\u2019s once-comfortable control of the Luhya vote. For an incumbent already struggling with shifting loyalties, their emergence complicates her path in 2027 even further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Three dominant communities.
