Kenya has been declared the new epicenter of a global peace movement following a historic summit that brought together faith leaders, dignitaries, and international peace advocates in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference, described as transformative, unveiled a bold vision for Africa and the wider world. Presiding over the event was His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan<\/strong>, Chairman and Chief Rector of the United Nations University for Global Peace (USA) and The American University (USA). He was joined by Prof. Cletus Bassey<\/strong>, Chancellor of Lead Impact University (USA), who attended as Guest of Honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to delegates, Prof. Bassey emphasized that Africa is witnessing a profound shift\u2014not political or military\u2014but spiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis movement is emerging from Kenya, spreading across Africa and eventually to the nations of the world,\u201d he told the gathering.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Krishan, a renowned peace ambassador recognized globally for his decades-long work, stressed the urgency of cultivating peace leaders capable of transforming nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur purpose of coming here was to unfold this new movement of speaking peace, teaching peace, and practicing peace,\u201d he said. \u201cFor over 40 years, we have been producing peace builders who then become nation builders. Our ultimate goal is to create communities that live, love, and practice peace.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Drawing comparisons with ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, and Palestine, Krishan underlined the failure of global powers and institutions to resolve protracted wars. He argued that Kenya now has a unique opportunity to set a different course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom today, let Kenya become the epicenter of proclaiming the gospel of peace to the whole world,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The peace leader also revealed that 69 prime ministers have already signed agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with his intergovernmental organization<\/strong>, with Kenya now in the final stages of formalizing its participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of these efforts, the Government of Kenya is preparing to host an upcoming \u201cSports for Peace\u201d initiative<\/strong>, beginning with cricket, which will bring together players and supporters from across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn collaboration with the Government of Kenya, we are organizing a major program of sports for peace\u2014uniting nations through sport,\u201d Krishan confirmed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Nairobi summit marked a pivotal moment in Africa\u2019s peace journey, signaling Kenya\u2019s emergence as a global beacon of hope and dialogue in times of division and conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
