Beatrice Elachi has called on the Luhya community in Nairobi to rally behind Makadara MP Hon. George Aladwa, positioning him as the rightful political shepherd of the over 800,000-strong Luhya voting bloc in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during a live interview on <strong>Mulembe FM<\/strong>, Hon. Elachi emphasized that with the exit of Hon. Wanyonyi in his political pursuits in Bungoma, stating she would join him on the campaign trail to affirm Nairobi\u2019s endorsement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>On Corruption and Committee Politics<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing recent allegations of corruption in parliamentary committees, Hon. Elachi distanced herself from any involvement, noting her dewhipping from committee assignments by the ODM party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t sit on any committee, so when people speak of money exchanging hands in those meetings, Beatrice Elachi is not part of that,\u201d she clarified, expressing disappointment over the state of integrity in the National Assembly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>On NG-CDF and Raila Odinga&#8217;s Proposal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the debate surrounding the return of NG-CDF management to the national government\u2014a position supported by ODM party leader Raila Odinga\u2014Elachi cautiously backed the move, citing the importance of implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCDF has been a lifeline for many, especially in supporting education. I\u2019ve clustered students into secondary and university groups, all of whom benefit directly. If the government manages it well, the impact can be even greater.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Development in Dagoretti North<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hon. Elachi took time to appreciate her constituents for their support, highlighting key development milestones achieved under her leadership:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Establishment of a standalone Dagoretti North sub-county administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Road improvements including <strong>Muslim-Naivasha Road<\/strong>, <strong>Kawangware Sokoni Road<\/strong>, and <strong>Salim Jump Road<\/strong> (70% complete).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Empowerment programs converting informal waste collectors into water vendors using handcarts supplied by her office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMy manifesto is on course. Roads, education, and empowerment have seen real progress. It\u2019s unfortunate that some young people spend their time trolling leaders. I pray for them and stay focused on my mandate.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She attributed most of the online attacks to supporters of former MP Hon. Simba Arati, noting that development, not social media noise, is her true measure of success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ready for 2027<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead to 2027, Elachi confirmed she would defend her seat on an ODM ticket and is ready for any competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPolitics comes with competition and criticism\u2014it\u2019s part of the job. I\u2019m prepared. The people of Dagoretti North will decide.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She also lauded cooperation from local ODM MCAs including <strong>Hon. Swaka (Gatina)<\/strong>, <strong>Hon. Munga (Kabiro)<\/strong>, and <strong>Hon.
