County governments were also not spared.The CS Hon Mutahi Kagwe said all County gov’ts are to prioritize garbage collection and cleanliness in markets. They are to provide soap and water in all market centers. “Markets are to remain open until further advice provided they follow directives given ” , the Cs said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Gikomba and Wakulima markets, the Cs added, ” Markets selling vegetables, mitumbas are high risk transmission environments. They must be disinfected regularly. Vegetables must be displayed on raised platforms and garbage collected daily. We will embark on fumigation of Gikomba market tomorrow”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
