Now Let Justice Be Done.<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A major milestone in the pursuit of justice and fairness has been reached today. <strong>Professor Amukowa Anangwe<\/strong>, a respected academic, former Cabinet Minister, and public intellectual, has been officially cleared of all graft-related allegations after the <strong>Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)<\/strong> formally <strong>withdrew the Ksh 32.4 million corruption case<\/strong> that had clouded his name for months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Milimani Anti-Corruption Court terminated the case under <strong>Section 87(a) of the Criminal Procedure Code<\/strong>. The court further ordered the immediate <strong>release of Prof. Anangwe\u2019s passport<\/strong> and the <strong>refund of his Ksh 1 million cash bail<\/strong>. No further charges are pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decisive legal development restores Prof. Anangwe\u2019s <strong>full legal and professional standing<\/strong>\u2014he is now entirely cleared and eligible to resume public and academic leadership roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI welcome today\u2019s decision with a clear conscience and a deep sense of relief. I have always maintained my innocence, and I am grateful that due process has run its course. I now look forward to continuing my contribution to national development and academic excellence,\u201d<br>\u2014 <em>Prof. Amukowa Anangwe<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Reputation Built on Integrity and Service<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For many within Kenya\u2019s academic and public service spaces, this moment is not only a vindication of Prof. Anangwe&#8217;s character but a reminder of his longstanding service to the nation. He has held key leadership roles \u2014 as a legislator, Cabinet Minister, and most recently, as <strong>Chairperson of the University of Nairobi Council<\/strong>, where his tenure was marked by vision, reform, and an unwavering commitment to academic standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is now imperative for the <strong>University of Nairobi<\/strong> and the <strong>Ministry of Education<\/strong> to act decisively:<br><strong>Reinstate Prof. Amukowa Anangwe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To withhold reinstatement despite the court\u2019s clearance is not only unjust \u2014 it flies in the face of the rule of law. Our institutions must not perpetuate punishment after acquittal. That is injustice. That is impunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Call to Action: Do the Right Thing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If we are a country that upholds fairness, justice, and due process, then we must not hesitate. Reinstating Prof. Anangwe is not just a professional courtesy \u2014 it is a moral obligation.
