This follows a successful tournament two month ago where the young lads emerged as winners in an EU sponsored tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At hand to hand them the county flag were the Nairobi county governor Hon Johnstone&nbsp; Sakaja, C.E.C Sports Hon Mulama Brian and the chief officer incharge&nbsp; Mr Oscar Igaida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/inbound8722323003655251289.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16848\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/inbound8722323003655251289.jpg 720w, https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/inbound8722323003655251289-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>European Union Ambassador to Kenya, Henriette Geiger<\/em><\/strong>, having a word with CEC  Brian Mulama and chief officer Oscar Igaida.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event held at the Nairobi county hall, Governor Sakaja challenged&nbsp; the lads to strive for excellence in their academics and&nbsp; sports. The governor guaranteed them of total support&nbsp; besides ensuring that their sports ground is kept safe from the notorious city land grabbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong><em>&#8220;I will be engaging the Ministry of Education to guarantee that the land where the school\u2019s football pitch is located is safe. Don\u2019t worry, it will not be grabbed,&#8221; Sakaja said<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In attendance was the European Union Ambassador to Kenya, Henriette Geiger, who congratulated the team on their success and encouraged them to enjoy their trip to Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong><em>We are proud of you. This is a maiden trip for you to Romania. Enjoy it, and as you do so, understand that we are happy with your performance as national football champions,&#8221; Geiger said<\/em><\/strong>.<br><br>Youths and Talent CEC Brian Mulama also expressed his pride in the team\u2019s accomplishments and pledged the county\u2019s continued support.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong><em>&#8220;Be assured that we have you in our hearts. We are proud of you and your performance, and that is why today we have this meeting with the Governor,&#8221; Mulama stated<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On his part Youths and Talent Chief Officer, Oscar Igaida, urged the players to be exemplary ambassadors for Kenya as they prepare to represent the country in Mbale, Uganda, after their Romanian tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong><em>As you go to Romania, I want to challenge you to be bold and express yourselves on the pitch. Hard word and discipline will take you places. You must follow in the footsteps of great soccer stars like Mariga formerly of Inter Milan and Wanyama who featured for Tottenham&nbsp; FC in the EPL.
