{"id":15098,"date":"2023-04-16T11:09:21","date_gmt":"2023-04-16T11:09:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/?p=15098"},"modified":"2023-04-16T11:10:44","modified_gmt":"2023-04-16T11:10:44","slug":"launch-of-jericho-basketball-court-to-help-enhance-sports-and-reduce-crime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/?p=15098","title":{"rendered":"Launch of Jericho basketball court to help enhance  sports and reduce crime."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nairobi County Executive Committee member for Sports, talent, skills development and care Brian Mulama yesterday, Saturday 15th April, 2023 officially opened the newly constructed basketball court at Jericho\u2019s Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi\u2019s Eastlands area.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/inbound2431430486304702013.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15099\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/inbound2431430486304702013.jpg 720w, https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/inbound2431430486304702013-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/inbound2431430486304702013-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>New look Jericho basketball court.<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Camp Toyoyo was constructed courtesy of a public-private partnership between the Nairobi City County Government and beverage brand company Hennessy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Mulama said that the construction of the court will help the youth in the area develop their skills in the sport as the county seeks to nurture sports talent across the county.<br>\u201c<strong><em>This is a very welcome move for our youth to have sports facilities to play and grow their talent which is a form of employment world over,\u201d Mulama noted<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He thanked Governor Johnson Sakaja for spearheading talent development efforts in Nairobi with this newest development that was jointly funded by the City County Government and Hennessy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>It has been great partnering with Hennessy in the construction of Jericho basketball court in Makadara Constituency.
