Nairobi Wednesday 8th February<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the third time running, Hon George Aladwa has come to the rescue of Vihiga bullets FC.
Ever since the team made an SOS for help, the Makadara MP, himself a native of Vihiga county has been at hand to help the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the journeymen from Vihiga county were hosted by Mathare united at the Ruaraka grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trip from Vihiga to Nairobi was made possible by the MP who besides facilitating their travel, also hosted the team to a sumptuas lunch before they headed to Ruaraka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our trip from Vihiga to Nairobi was looking bleak, we are currently struggling financially but we thank Hon Aladwa for coming through, we feel bad that we lost to Mathare but we are ready and willing to bounce back just to repay the faith Hon Aladwa has in us.Today we are not stranded thanks to him, we shall  go back to Vihiga and fully focus on our next game against Bidco. It was also a humbling honor to see Hon Aladwa cheering us for the 90 minutes, our morale is high now” said Lucas the teams captain<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

VIhiga Bullets go down fighting at Ruaraka.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two weeks ago, Vihiga bullets played against AFC leopards at Nyayo stadium, the boys  came direct from their bus to the stadium  on an empty stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today things were different as the team were treated to a sumptuas lunch by Hon Aladwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This seemed to have energised the lads who ran rings around Mathare defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vincent Okello was a thorn in the flesh for Mathare  united. With  several missed chances,  it was Daniel Otieno’s volley from the 18yards that broke the stalemate at the 90th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the players after the match, Hon Aladwa encouraged the boys to remain focused and goals will start coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have watched you play and I can tell you that you have an amazing talent. I will keep supporting you even as we look for a long time solution. Today I have enjoyed watching you and as a token of appreciation, I will give you some allowance as you head back to Vihiga”  said Aladwa.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Aladwa who has shown interest in Vihiga governorship in 2027 is a close ally of Gov Akaranga who is also a sport enthusiast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pundits believe that in 2027, Hon Akaranga is likely to throw his weight behind  Aladwa. This move will complicate matters for both Hon Agoi the former Sabatia lawmaker and Hon Adagala the county woman rep who are believed to be favourites to fly the ANC flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incidentally, both Agoi,Aladwa, Akaranga and Adagala come from Sabatia constituency the home turf of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aladwa although in ODM, his brand of politics in so far as matters Vihiga are concerned is less combative and has never been on cross path with Mudavadi, this has made him a darling of Vihigans even as he lay his nets far and wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
