The four parliamentary and 39 MCA aspirants have been cleared by ODM to contest in the party\u2019s nominations.
The MCAs supporting Kwamboka seeking for ODM\u2019s blessings are led by Henry Marube, Joseph Obiri and Nyantika Ricado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aspirants said after assessing the others running for Nairobi Women\u2019s representative seat found that Kwamboka was the best suited candidate to represent the capital city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n They called on the party to give Kwamboka a direct ticket without subjecting her to the nominations exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShe has been tried and tested and passed the test like the Homa Bay Women representative Gladys Wanga who was handed a direct ticket for the Homa Bay Governor\u2019s post and therefore feel that Kwamboka has been steadfast in her loyalty for the party,\u201d they said<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The aspirants said incase Kwamboka is not granted a direct ODM ticket they will ensure that they will mobilize their supporters to back Kwamboka\u2019s bid in the nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The endorsement comes at a time when the former Kasarani Member of Parliament (MP) and Metropolitan assistant minister Elizabeth Ongoro stepped down in favour of Kwamboka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAm very happy for the confidence that the aspirants have in me by endorsing my candidature. I promise not to let Nairobians down once elected,: said Kwamboka.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Earlier, members of the Kisii community where Kwamboka comes from have called on political parties and Nairobians to support a Kisii for the Nairobi Women\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe as the Kisii\u2019s owing to our big numbers and having been supporting members from other tribes in Nairobi and feel that it\u2019s now time to return the favour by having one of our own to occupy at top seat in Naairobi.
