{"id":12465,"date":"2022-02-04T16:58:45","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T16:58:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/?p=12465"},"modified":"2022-02-04T17:05:48","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T17:05:48","slug":"12465","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodmorningkenya.com\/wp\/?p=12465","title":{"rendered":"Blow to Governor Kananu, Bishop Wanjiru, Kagure as Mount Kenya Elders Bless Ngatia Nairobi&#8217;s Top Job"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Elders from Mount Kenya region based in Nairobi have blessed and backed the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia in his race to City Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The elders drawn from Nairobi\u2019s ten sub counties met and unanimously endorsed their son Ngatia to go for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The endorsement is a big blow to other candidates from the Mount Kenya region seeking for Nairobi\u2019s top job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>They include current Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu, insurance executive Grace Kigure and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) gubernatorial candidate a former Housing assistant minister Bishop Margaret Wanjiru.<br>\u201cAs the elders of Mount Kenya region hereby endorse Ngatia as our preferred candidate from Mount Kenya and therefore give him our blessings to run for Nairobi\u2019s governorship.
