Uganda’s president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who was seen as Ruto’s ally in the region has now dumped him for Uhuru Kenyatta and by extension Raila Amollo Odinga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This could not have come at a better time than after Edgar Lungu who was seen as Ruto’s ally was voted out in Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not long ago, Ruto’s trip to Uganda was controversially stopped after some elements in the government denied him a boarding pass at the Wilson airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many pundits believe that the meeting between Museveni’s son Gen Muhoozi and Uhuru Kenyatta was the clearest show of might on where Uhuru wants the destiny of this country to go to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Details of the closed door meeting between Gen Muhoozi and President Uhuru remain scanty but the message is clear atleast according to pundits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On his part, Gen Muhoozi only took to his twitter and wrote,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*I was honoured to visit my elder, my big brother and my hero recently in Nairobi. President Uhuru is an inspiration to many of us across East Africa and Africa! *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gen Muhoozi is Museveni’s favourite son and a commander of the Uganda Peoples Defence forces (UPDF)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the aborted meeting in Kampala where Ruto was denied a pass, it was later revealed that Ruto was on a mission to engage NRM on how best to run a political party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
