It’s reported that Kakamega residents threw canisters at the police during the curfew. Police were shocked when angry residents hurled tear gas at them.
Police have peacefully pleaded with locals to return the canisters failure to it, they will launch a crackdown Kakamega Central OCPD David Kabena said.
But where did they get the canisters?
According to area chief Mr. Isaac Ayumba, locals have been collecting and keeping the canisters that did not detonate whenever the police have fired them. And it seems residents must holding many canisters in their possession.
