KEEP OFF SOME CULTURAL PRACTICES, OR PERISH VIHIGA W/REP HON. BEATRICE ADAGALA WARNS!

Vihiga residents must keep of some cultural practices and think about their lives during this covid 19 pandemic.

Vihiga county Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala has said. Hon Adagala urged residents to stop attending funerals as has been before and stay at home to curb the spread of the coronavirus. “During such a crisis like Covid-19, life must be given the first priority,” Adagala said.

She said once Covid-19 has been battled successfully, life will go back to normal with cultural activities taking place like before.

“Let’s not perish because of our ignorance. The government is doing all it can but if we ignore regulations, we will mess up,” Adagala said.

She advised that if residents have to attend funerals, they have to make sure they have face masks and keep the social distancing guidelines.

The woman rep has urged locals to use the stay home directive to tend to their farms. “Let us take advantage of the rains and plant trees, vegetables to increase our food production in our area. This is a sure way of not only staying safe but also killing boredom” Added Adagala.

On this front, the Hon Mp is leading from the front in planting sweet potatoes, vegetables etc. On school going kids. Hon Adagala has urged parents to closely monitor how children are behaving and guide them well as we look forward the re opening of schools
