Stanley Kyungu set to clinch Makueni parliamentary seat.

Makueni Parliamentary aspirant Stanley Kyungu has taken a massive lead in the race, just days after he won the Makueni UDA Party nominations ahead of the August 9th 2022 general elections.
Kyungu, a medical Imaging specialist will be the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party candidate for the Makueni seat at the upcoming polls following an agreement with former Sports Kenya board chairman Fred Muteti who stepped down from the race in favour of Kyungu.
Kyungu has quickly become the talk of the town in Makueni. A Post graduate Medical Imaging Technologist with a background in Healthcare management and professional certification in leadership and management, Kyungu has outlined a five point agenda for the constituency which is currently represented in Parliament by lawyer Daniel Maanzo who has trained his eyes on the Makueni senatorial seat.


“Following the Nomination exercise in Makueni constituency and extensive consultations thereafter, Fred Muteti will become the presidential campaign coordinator for the south Eastern region and Kyungu Stanley will vie for the parliamentary seat in the August 9th General election,” Deputy President William Ruto said while unveiling Kyungu and the party candidate for Makueni.

I have a vision for the people of Makueni and I present a fresh youthful leadership to transform existing challenges in our area,” Kyungu said.

Among the challenges that Kyungu has pledged to tackle include agribusiness, roads, youth empowerment, education and healthcare.
“Agribusiness in Makueni constituency which produces the best quality of Oranges and Mangoes will be in my agenda. I will lobby for incentives for farmers to lower the cost of farming and find market for our produce,” Kyungu said.
Second in his agenda will be tarmac roads with a special focus on the 150 kilometres Ukia to Emali road.
“In youth empowerment, I will work for the establishment of talent incubation centers and focus on sports development. Fourth, I will work to improve dducation with a focus on enhancing the use of the constituency development fund and establish a study donor fund foundation. I will also be a healthcare ambassador in the August house,” Kyungu said.
