Two former Afc leopards CEO’s Ekhalie and Ronald Namai sharply Differ over club management

The current events at Afc leopards can make Israel Motokaa the founder of Abaluhya footbal Club and All time greatest Ingwe Legend Joe Kadenge roll in their graves.

Joe Kadenge (R.i.p) died a sad man seeing the club he played for not lifting trophies.

In the 80s Afc leopards used to supply harambee stars with half of the players. Currently nothing good can be said of Afc leopards.

From 2009 Afc leopards has embroided itself into politics than doing their thing on the pitch.

Two former Afc leopards ceo one Richard Ekhalie and Ronald Namai has of late differred on how ingwe should be managed moving forward.

Ronald Namai believes Dan Shikanda should be supported to steer Ingwe back to glory whe Ekhalie believes that Afc leopards should turn corporate.

“My take ,Ingwe can progress well when we get dedicated leadership AND a fanbase willing to support the team financially.

The structure (corporate or community) is not really an issue. Its the people!

Changing the structure without addressing the people will not solve the problem. And examples are many around the world.

I prefer pushing Shikanda and team to deliver on their promises and make some strides forward than going into the 2010-2013 cycle of musical chairs.” Namai said.

On his part Richard Ekhalie has launched a campaign that want to turn Afc into a corporate entity meaning the club should be owned by shareholders.

This move by Ekhalie has raised eyebrows wih a section of fans saying Ekhalie has already registered a company to take over Afc.
“We cannot allow our only heritage to be taken over by Ekhalie and his cronies, what did Ekhalie not do when he was in office?” A fan only identified as Covid19 wrote on a whatsap group.

The same sentiments were echoed by another fan going by the name Mafuta ya Salad.

On his part, Club chairman Dr Dan Shikanda has maintained that Afc leopards will remain a community club as long as he is still the chairman.
“We cannot allow a few busy bodies to take over our club. Those who want leadership should wait untill elections are called”. Dr Shikanda said.
