Senate’s public accounts committee has asked Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai to frog march Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria to the Upper House to answer to audit queries. The committee led by Senator Sam Ongeri, demands Wa Iria to appear before it on September 10.
“We cannot close our eyes to a situation which is deteriorating, the county government of Murang’a has received over KSh 24 billion for the last three years and he must account for the public funds committed in his government,” Sam Ongeri ruled.
