Kenya receives 5 billion shillings loan from World Bank

Kenya will receive a loan of 5 Billion shillings from World Bank to fund its effort to fight spread of coronavirus.

The CS for Health Mutahi Kagwe has said the amount will be used to procure protective gear for health workers, hand sanitisers as well as increasing bed capacity in hospitals.

Health workers have been complaining of lack of masks and PPE’s to protect themselves from Copid-19 infections.

A good number of Doctors and Nurses working in hospitals treating Coronavirus patients have been exposed and are in quarantine.
