AFC Leopards are ready to maintain their unbeaten run as they face Sofapaka in what is dubbed as the ”derby of the cats”.
The Antony ‘’ Modo’ Kimani led outfit is smarting from a two-match win which is one of the best start to the season in a long time.
Speaking to www.goodmorningkenya.com, Mr. Kimani said that his charges are in the right frame of mind and he expects a good game as they face Sofapaka.
‘’ Sofapaka is a good team and they boast of an experienced coach in the names of John Baraza who understands pretty well the terrain of local soccer. Besides the team has a blend of experience and upcoming players and this is a fact that as leopards we go into the match fully aware. However, our aim remains 3 points for that is what our fans expect of us’’ Kimani said.
On his part, John Baraza is ready to face Afc leopards after an eventful outing against Western Stima where the results went in his favor at 3;1. Sofapaka had a difficult first game of the season where they went down 1;0 against Bandari Fc.
‘’I am happy with the team at hand, our signings the signings we made, Lawrence Juma from Gor and Mike Kibwage from Kcb have injected a new impetus in the team and the experience of veteran striker Paul Kiongera has added firepower upfront we expect a tough match from AFC who are enjoying a good form but we are going for the three points’ said John Baraza.
The mood in the AFC leopards camp is at its all-time high. Ingwe’s new signing from Homeboyz Fc is upbeat and yearning for his debut.
