Shabana Fc gets a 62 sitter bus from president Uhuru!

It was a good feeling as the Shaban Fc players received a 62 bus from the president of the country. Shabana Fc is a club that was formed in 1980 by Kisii based businessman Dogo Khan. It has over the years become the symbol of sports for the Abagusii community. In its heydays, it used to be a thorn in the flesh for both AFC and Gor in the Gusii stadium.

Somehow, it was impossible for the giants of the soccer game in the country to get a point in Gusii. This Jinks seems to be alive going by the recent Mashujaa day Cup where they won again an oiled AFC leopards. History seems to keep repeating itself. With a 62 seat bus, the club now joins Wazito and AFC leopards as clubs in the country that own serious or state of the art machines.

If this bus will motivate Shabana to come back into the top flight league, that is a matter for the players and technical bench to decide. But for now, it is a good sign from the president of the country to uplift the club’s image and spirit with a new bus. We hope other leaders will pick lessons from the president and help other struggling clubs to acquire buses.
