Revealed: Oparanya to take over Ford Kenya Party leadership as new office is gazetted.

The intrigues in Ford Kenya party will take a new dimension as Odm’s deputy party leader and second term Kakamega governor Hon Oparanya is rumoured to be joining the party.

This comes at a time when Kenya gazette a government’s official publication gazetted Hon Wafula Wamunyinyi as the new interim party leader sealing off Wetangula’s fate in Ford Kenya.

Our sources have also informed us that prior to Wetangula’s ouster, plans were at an advanced stage of stripping off Esseli of his position as party Sg.
“There were plans of removing Eseli from the party due to his hardline stand on a merger of Ford Kenya with some other party. Now Eseli has pulled a first one on Wetangula and the matter is done and dusted. Ford Kenya is reclaiming its long lost glory” a source from Ford Kenya who did not wish to be named for fear of re tribulations said.

With 2022 political equation shaping up and the BBI agenda likely to bring forth a referendum, political players are keen to have the right people in right positions.

The purge in both the senate and the National Assembly point out to an interesting scenario as 2022 approaches.

Questions now linger on the possibility and the ramifications of Oparanya crossing over to Ford Kenya as its New party leader his close ties with Raila notwithstanding.

“Yes Kenya is changing and we dont want parties holding people hostage, if Oparanya’s arrival will sanitize Mulembe politics so be it.” a Ford Kenya member said.

Those against Oparanya’s crossover had a different view.

“The coup in Ford Kenya was sponsored by external forces and if Oparanya is indeed joining then this puts all the doubts to rest” David Wafula said.
